Since it’s the start of 2013 and this my very first blog
post (yay!) I thought it would be fitting to write about new beginnings. This
year should bring you something new that the previous year didn't Stagnation
is a harmful poison that if not cured can stunt your growth and if something’s
not growing then it’s dying. Stagnation prevents someone from going forth to
their destiny in God. If you want what God has for you then you have to start
somewhere. An action is required to bring about a result. Jesus didn't just
teach salvation he is our salvation. You have to begin working the purpose that
God has placed inside of you. How do you do that? Well for starters you have to
seek God for what He wants you to do. Then you have to plant that new seed into
good soil. If you are not starting your foundation on the Lord then it will not
be producing any good fruit. You have to work this thing out and base it on Jesus.
Proverbs 16:3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your
plans will be established
Get rid of anything that is preventing you from starting
anew. Many times we are stuck in the same spot because we have comfort zones
that we don’t want to get out of. In order to break comfortability you have to get in the
habit of being uncomfortable sometimes. With any new thing or change it’s
going to bring forth challenges because it’s something completely different to
you. But those pains are only because you’re breaking through walls to get to
the other side of your destiny, so keep breaking! Don’t let it stop you. Once
you see it through to the other side the feeling of success and liberation will
be well worth it.
When starting anew, you must start from scratch and create
long term goals and short term goals. Short term goals are good because it will
keep you in the habit of the "winning mindset" after successfully completing each one. When
you set goals for your new journey have purpose behind them. Get rid of what is
not beneficiary to you. Don’t be afraid to let go of some people. You can’t
start anew if you keep attaching yourself to the old. If a friend,
boyfriend/girlfriend, or anyone else is not supporting your vision then get rid
of them. That’s just how it has to be sometimes. If you don’t then they will
continue to drain you and be a hindrance to your growth. That’s why Jesus said to
the crowd who was following him in Luke 14:27 that if they could not deny
themselves and carry their cross then they could not be his disciple, you don’t
have time for the extra baggage. You have to walk together with people who are
going to help aid the process.
Get rid of the junk in your life that is keeping you from
God because without God as the driver then pretty soon your car is going to
break down. Let God take the wheel. God knows exactly where He wants you to go
and what He wants you to do, so don’t you think He would be the best person for
the job leading you on this new beginning? Without God it will be impossible to
achieve what you were created for because He is the one who created you to do
it. Either that or you will be an agent for the enemy.
You also have to think positive and know that with God’s
grace you’re capable of more than what you think you are but it requires getting
rid of defective systems. If the system that you are using now isn't working
then why continue to use it? You keep choosing the same men over and over expecting
different results, but you’re using the same formula. Break out of the failed
ideology that has been keeping you stuck in the same rut.
If you say you want to write then write, if you say you want
a good man then start choosing men and not boys. Choose men who will respect
you, not just a hit it and quit it guy, but someone who will actually wait for
you until marriage day. If you say you want to do better than do better. All
the choices in life are up to you. You have the power to either accept the
perfect will of God over your life or reject it (I would prefer the first
part.) But that means getting in complete alignment with God and that means
whatever God says get rid of, get rid of it!
Every day should be a new beginning; you should be
constantly reminding yourself of your visions and dreams so you can soon
achieve them one day. Even when that happens don’t stop. Continue to create new
ones.
I’m excited to be starting a new beginning with this blog. I
hope I can encourage someone through my testimonies I will be sharing and my life
experiences as I follow Christ. And as this awesome journey continues may we
connect with one another, love on one another and grow with one another.
So start afresh and tell yourself that you will never be the
same and you’ll be one step closer to where you need to be.
GOD'S GRACE IS LIMITLESS,
Hi Shaniqua,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your heart, your spirit, your love of God in this very inspirational message! I hope you continue to share your blessings with others. Everyone has a story, and unless that story is shared, no one benefits but the one who has yet to share the story. May God continue blessing your life's journey, and filling it with His love. God bless you always. :)
Renee
Thank you so much Renee! That really means a lot to me. I am so glad you read it and you are so right about us sharing our testimonies to benefit others. As God as the driver that's what I plan to do. Thanks for the encouragement. May God tremendously bless you!
